Park Zone Speed Limit – 20mph

The Hampshire Township Park District requested Park Zones (625 ILCS 5/11-605.3) be designated along Jefferson Ave., Schmidt Dr., Barn Owl Dr., and Romke Road adjacent to the park frontage. The Village of Hampshire recently approved an Ordinance designating these areas as Park Zones, reducing the speed to 20 m.p.h. when children are present within 50 feet of the street. Signs are present to warn motorists of the reduced speed limit.
